In the Leadership Internship, your experience will be specialized in a Bayside ministry. This is where you will get hands-on ministry training. With Bayside church growing, we have a variety of campuses and ministries with which you can intern. Our staff is ready and excited to partner with you as you start your leadership journey.

CHILDREN’S EARLY CHILDHOOD MINISTRY
Early Childhood Ministry covers the age range of infants to five-year-olds. One can expect to see many new parents bringing their new babies and toddlers to the nursery. The goal is to help parents feel confident that their sweet little ones are cared for as they get to experience worship services and refuel themselves. The biblical teaching is age-appropriate and fun! You will experience helping with curriculum, preparing classrooms, assist with teacher training, and build friendships with volunteers and staff.
CHILDREN’S K-3RD GRADE MINISTRY
K-3 provides ministry for children kindergarten through 3rd grade as they develop an understanding of who God is and why choosing to have a personal relationship with Christ is the best decision that they can ever make for themselves. You will get hands-on experience assisting and teaching as well as learning about curriculum and prep for services. There will be opportunities to be mentored for speaking while working alongside the staff to plan and implement multiple children's events.
CHILDREN’S 4TH & 5TH GRADE MINISTRY
This is the stage of life where kids encounter the “Discovery" phase in their faith. Four Five is a place where we create an environment for kids to build authentic friendships. You will experience creating out-of-the-box games/activities to help kids connect with one another, writing engaging and creative stories and sermons for kids to connect to God's word, and coordinating wild outreach events like Amped and Reach to teach kids about loving their peers and community. Four Five experience is seeing kids discover God's truth for their lives.
CHILDREN’S SPECIAL NEEDS MINISTRY
Special Needs ministry is designed to help students of varying abilities experience the love of Christ at their level. As a Thrive student, you will experience all aspects of Special Needs Ministry (for kids from 3-11 and Teens from 12-21). This includes weekend services, outreaches, and children’s events. We provide ministry support within Children’s Ministry and have a specialized program throughout the weekend.
CHURCH PLANT MINISTRY
Planting a new church is both a matchless, exciting experience paired with a lot of hard work. Bayside is building a church to reach not just a city, but entire regions. Church planting is a unique ministry, so it will require students who are creative, diligent, and ready to have their faith stretched (often in ways unanticipated). You will join the staff and God is His work of creating a new church community and reaching the un-reached.
College Ministry has a weekly service, small groups, and Sunday Night Socials to give students opportunities to build community and connect to God. Through your hands-on experience of leading a new and flourishing ministry, you’ll learn a dependency on Jesus in ministry, wisdom to disciple others, and a deeper passion for scripture.
Communications Ministry manages global communications for Bayside Church and all of its campuses. The goal is to find ways to use latest technologies and best practices to reach people and point them to God.You will learn how to reach people in this day and age, measure results, and communicate those results to leaders and staff. See first-hand how to help create creative campaigns that inspire people to take action while growing your own leadership abilities.
Growth Track helps members to explore and experience all God has for them. Growth Track is made up of four steps that equip church goers to follow Jesus, connect to the church, discover their purpose, and serve others. As part of the Growth Track team, you will be essential in equipping people to experience God's fullness.
HIGH SCHOOL MINISTRY
High School Ministry is focused on helping every student be KNOWN by a caring adult, understand their VALUE to Christ and His Kingdom, and get CONNECTED to the local church to impact their schools, community and world for Christ. You will experience hands-on student ministry exposure including: 1) On-campus School Ministry at a local high school 2) Weekly Student Discipleship on Wednesday nights, Sunday mornings, and throughout the week and 3) Behind the Scenes roles and responsibilities relevant to Student Ministries.
Middle School Ministry uses more service types than you can imagine. From events that attract almost 2,000 Middle School students to pool parties with 50 kids, as a Thrive School student, you will see it all and play a major role in making it happen.You will learn how to disciple, teach, communicate to students and parents. Because of the work that you will put in; you will see and hear some of the coolest life transforming stories.
Bayside believes in unleashing compassion from a local level to a global reach. Become an intricate part of a team who creates incredible opportunities for the 10,000+ people who serve their community during Serve Day, the 1,000+ people who serve in Mexico over spring break, and the small international teams throughout the year. You'll be interning with world class leaders who's passion is centered on serving the needs of others.
STUDENT MINISTRY OPERATIONS
Study under the Student Ministries Operations Director. You will get the opportunity to see how student ministries logistics are run at a multi-campus church! Learn how to move student ministries forward and to create systems and ways for the department to work most efficiently and effectively. You can expect to experience how student ministries run from budgets, to events, to curriculum, leading meetings, and more.
